Terms of service

Jori is provided by Vedin Labs AB, organization number 556512-5449, Braxenvägen 12, 181 30 Lidingö, Sweden. Contact support@usejori.com.

Jori is offered for business use only, including use by freelancers and sole traders. It is not offered for personal or household purchases at launch. You must be at least 18 and have authority to accept these terms for the business you represent. For a sole trader, that business is you. These terms apply when you create an account or purchase Jori. A separate signed agreement takes priority where it expressly changes these terms.

These terms cover the Jori service we host. Jori's code is open source under the GNU Affero General Public License; running your own copy is governed by that license, not by these terms.

Jori is an AI service for working with chats, files, shared workspaces and connected applications. You need internet access and a current web browser. Some features also need an account with the connected service. You control the access and instructions you give it. Keep your account secure and only connect accounts or provide content you are entitled to use. Workspace administrators manage membership and access.

Instructions and enabled automations can cause Jori to act in connected services, including sending messages or changing content. Check permissions and approval settings before enabling them. Disconnecting an integration stops future access but does not undo completed actions or delete copies already in your workspace. Connected services have their own terms and availability.

AI can make mistakes, omit information or produce similar results for different people. Review output and important actions before relying on them. Jori is not a substitute for professional medical, legal or financial advice.

Do not use Jori for unlawful activity, spam, fraud, infringement, unauthorised access or interference with other people's systems. Do not bypass access, security or spending controls. Do not use Jori to make consequential decisions about people, such as hiring, credit or medical treatment, without meaningful human review. Any additional legal requirements still apply.

Our standard service is not offered for medical-record systems or workflows that require special regulatory or contractual safeguards. Do not intentionally use it as a repository for sensitive personal data, such as health records or biometric identification data, without our prior written agreement. Contact us to discuss such uses. We do not promise that we can support them.

You keep your rights in the content you provide. You give us permission to process it only as needed to provide, secure and support Jori and carry out your instructions. As between you and us, you may use the output, and we assign you any rights we may have in it. This does not guarantee that output has copyright protection or is free of third-party rights.

We do not use your workspace content to train general-purpose AI models. Our Privacy Policy explains personal-data handling. Our Data Processing Agreement applies where we process personal data on your behalf. The Jori name and branding remain ours.

Purchases are made through Polar Software Inc. (Polar), our reseller and merchant of record. Polar takes your payment, charges any applicable taxes and issues your invoices, and Polar's checkout terms apply to the payment itself. These terms govern your use of Jori.

The price, billing period, included usage and applicable taxes are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew for the same billing period until cancelled. Usage can consume included credits and separately purchased credits. Included credits refresh on the schedule shown for your plan and do not roll over. Separately purchased credits carry forward until used or refunded.

Extra storage is an optional monthly subscription for the capacity shown before purchase. Increases take effect after payment; reductions take effect at the next renewal. If your files exceed your available capacity, new uploads and changes that increase storage stop. You can still download and delete files. We give you 30 days' notice to reduce usage or restore capacity before deleting excess files, starting with the most recently added files. We show the affected files and deletion date in Jori.

You can enable automatic credit top-ups and choose their limits. Turning them off stops future automatic purchases. Charges already incurred remain payable. Promotional credits have no cash refund value.

Cancel renewal through billing settings or contact support. Ordinary cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid term. We will tell you about price changes before they apply, and you can cancel renewal before the new price takes effect.

You can request a refund of unused, separately purchased credits when closing your workspace. Credits already used are not refundable except where the law requires it. If you purchase $50 of credits and use $10, the unused balance is $40.

Within 14 days of your first subscription purchase, we return the subscription payment less the value of included credits already used. For example, a $30 subscription with $15 of included credits has a $25 refund if you have used $5 of those credits. We do not deduct that same usage from a separate credit purchase. Refunds cannot exceed the amount actually paid for the relevant purchase.

This offer does not restart on renewal. Promotional credit usage is not deducted from your refund. After that window, ordinary cancellation ends at the end of the paid term without a partial subscription refund. This does not limit your statutory rights.

Request refunds through support@usejori.com. We verify the purchase, stop the refunded service and return the amount due to the original payment method. Refunded credits are removed from the workspace. Polar may also refund a payment to resolve a payment dispute; the same applies to those credits.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably needed to address a material breach, non-payment, a security risk or a legal requirement. Where practical, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to resolve it. If we end a paid service for reasons unrelated to your breach, we will refund the unused portion of the paid term and unused purchased credits.

After your subscription ends, we retain your workspace for 90 days before deletion and notify you in advance. You can request earlier deletion through support. Contact us before deletion if you need help obtaining your content. Records we must keep for accounting, legal claims or security follow the separate retention rules in our Privacy Policy.

We will provide Jori with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We remain responsible for our own obligations; your responsibility to review AI output does not remove them.

Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit. Each party's total liability under this agreement is limited to the greater of EUR 500 and the fees paid or payable for Jori in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not excuse payment of valid charges or limit fraud, deliberate misconduct, gross negligence or liability that the law does not allow the parties to limit.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

We will give at least 30 days' notice of material changes to these terms, except where a legal or urgent security requirement needs an earlier change. Changes will not apply retrospectively. If a change materially disadvantages you, you can end the affected service before it takes effect and receive a refund for any prepaid service we will no longer provide.

Swedish law applies. Disputes are heard by Stockholm District Court, subject to any mandatory rules on jurisdiction. Contact support@usejori.com first so we can try to resolve the issue.
